you can use an effect glaze called botz + to create this waterfall effect with many of BOTZ brush-on glazes.

the glazes used on these cups are
brush-on glazes from German Botz glazes

HOW TO CREATE THE WATERFALL GLAZE EFFECT:

For this glaze effect, paint 3 layers Agate Grey and then follow with 1 layer of BOTZ + on top of the grey glaze.

TIP: When using BOTZ + you only have to add a thin layer. If the layer is too thick, you won’t get the effect you want. Instead, the glaze will turn yellowish to transparent in colour and it will crack. If this happens, then the glaze isn’t food safe.

You can also use BOTZ + on its own…

WARNING ⚠️ If you use it on its own, then you need to know that it is VERY runny.

HOW TO USE BOTZ + ALONE: Add 2-3 layers on your piece. The glaze will form beautiful crystals in a white glaze and where the glaze puddles, the colour will turn blue.

When you use the glaze like this, then the glaze will crack and is no longer food safe.

The terms for these cracks are crazing or crackle glazes. These two terms are technically the same, but are used depending on your intent.

If you intended to create a cracked effect, it’s called a crackle glaze. If you did not intend to create the cracked glaze it is considered a glaze flaw, so use the word crazing.
