The #KEO 1 rib is designed to create strong, even cylinders.
I use the #KEO 1 rib almost every time I throw. Before I begin shaping a piece, I pull the clay into a cylinder and refine the walls against the straight edge. This helps me create an even wall thickness and gives the clay a strong, stable starting point.
Get a consistent height and diameter with the built-in ruler, notches and centre markings.
Reduce the risk of cracks when compressing the base with the curved top.
The rib is double-sided, and can be used by right- and left-handed potters.
